Aballu Truffles began life in 1998 as idea for making Christmas gifts for her chocolate-loving friends. Jo continued making truffles as gifts every Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and, well, everything in between! Now, 10 years on, this hobby has developed into ‘Aballu…Truffles’. Those years have seen Jo developing the flavours and finishes of her truffles. Peter Tofalos has been making fudge since 1996, and based in Llangolllen since 1998. His original signature fudge was White Chocolate & Bailey's, which won ‘Reserve Welsh Speciality’ in the Great Taste Awards 2006, as well as achieving a commendation in ‘Wales, the True Taste’ in 2007 and 2008. His other flavours that were also commended were Scot's Tablet, Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate & Demerara Fudges. He also became "True Taste Regional Producer (North Wales) 2007/08".

Spavens stock over 400 jars of sweets (402 last count) and loads of novelty sweets and everyone has been tested by their goodselves. They are a family business that has sold sweets for 25 years and is presently run by Alan and Rhian Spaven. They have great fun running the shop and enjoy making it a fun and interesting place to work and shop - where else would you find sugar mice running up the walls! They also have birthday parties in the shop after hours, a lock-in in a sweet shop every child’s dream come true. They also sell online!

Ian and Rosemary produce their fruit Liqueurs on our small holding on the Welsh English borders They have made fruit liqueurs, as a hobby, for a number of years, experimenting with different fruits, either home grown or gathered locally. Starting the business was a huge learning curve for them and they are pleased to announce, that having studied for and attained the relevant licenses and environmental health approval, they can get back to the serious business of producing a quality product. You can buy directly from them or from a number of outlets local to the Oswestry area. What makes their fruit liqueurs deliciously different? They use only whole fresh fruit, locally sourced in season. They never compromise by using commercially produced fruit juice.

Abertanat Farm is situated at the mouth of the river Tanat. This is the Welsh Marches region and the herd crosses the border between England and Wales daily as they graze the lush pastureland alongside the river Tanat. They milk 150 Holstein/Friesian cows and their fresh milk is piped directly into the new purpose built cheese dairy.

Alison lives with her husband Tim and two sons, in Calverhall, near Whitchurch, they are very proud of the quality of
